Pin wheel cookies

pinwheel Cookies

These cookies were a request from my other half so I decided to give it a go. They're tasty and easy to make.

Ingredients:
3 cups plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons butter/margarine
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 tea spoon vanilla essence
4 table spoons cocoa powder
1 table spoon milk
Preparation Method:
Pre heat oven to 180
Add butter and sugar into a large mixing bowl and mix together until light and fluffy.
Add egg and mix well.
Add milk and vanilla essence
Sift in the flour and baking powder and mix well to form the  cookie dough.
Roll the dough into a ball and divide in 2 equal parts.
Place one half into another bowl and add the cocoa powder
and mix thoroughly until the dough looks chocolaty.
Roll each of the dough's into a log shape , cover in cling film and chill for 45 mins or over night if not making on the day.
Once chilled Roll each of the dough's into roughly 7 inches by 8 inches.
Place the chocolate dough on top of the vanilla dough .
Starting with the short end facing you, roll the dough tightly into a log.

Slice the log into 1/4 inch thick slices and place on a grease
proof lined baking tray and pop in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
Enjoy :)
